Hayden Taylor - Color guard director

Hayden Taylor discovered his passion for color guard while attending Richland High School in 2018. He began his instructional career in 2021 at his alma mater and has contributed to multiple programs including Keller Central High School, North Forney High School, and Pike High School (Indianapolis, IN). After finding a home with the McKinney North Color Guard, he spent almost 3 years as a technician before stepping into the role of Color Guard Director in 2026.

In addition to his experience as an educator, Mr. Taylor brings nearly a decade of color guard performance experience to the table, including his time with world class DCI Finalist group, The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps (2022-2023) and world class WGI Finalist group, Mirage (2023, 2025).

He looks forward to continuing to cultivate the success and culture of the program while providing a safe space for students to explore their creativity, be themselves, and take risks!
